Hi All, please let me know if you want to be removed from this list.

I am constantly adding videos without doing an e-blast.
All vids can be found here:

About 100 of you are new to the list this time and you might want to take a look at the videos archived at that url.

OWS has been busy in the last 48 hours…

YESTERDAY, more than 100 students, teachers and educational activists occupied the city’s Board of Education meeting Tuesday night to protest the city’s education policies, including budget cutbacks, layoffs, large class sizes and an overemphasis on standardized testing. After New York City School Chancellor Dennis Walcott and school board members fled the meeting, an impromptu people’s “general assembly” was held. Speakers included an eight-year-old student named Indigo.

After approval in General Assembly last night,  a community watch has been established to guard occupiers living in the park– in the past week, assaults, sexual assaults, and drug-dealing were a problem. There are provocateurs at every turn, some, just crazies off the street, and others who are undercover cops. No one doubts that the police are using every trick they can come up with.
OWS meets every challenge, including provocateurs shouting interruptions during the General Assembly, with nonviolent tactics (to ‘marginalize toxic elements’). The drummers have apparently agreed to comply with OWS and the surrounding neighbors’ desire for less noise.

The budget as of tonight was about $140,000 with something like $340,000 pending, but not cleared. OWS needs donations to keep going past December.
Hundreds of packages arrive from donors (from around the world) every day. SIS (Storage and Inventory) proposed a $2500 purchase of shelves today so they could make an accurate inventory (in the storage warehouse) of incoming gifts.

AND FINALLY, in the most contentious vote of the General Assembly tonight, $20,000 was approved to pay bail and medical for the Oakland occupiers who are still in jail.

Marchers tonight remained peaceful, even when comrades were thrown head first into the pavement. As arrests protestors swarm cops with cameras. I’ll post more videos outside the e-blast later, including a graphic video of one injured protestor with bloody nose and face cuts.

A day ago, Charlie Rose’s show presented a very good overview of OWS– an interview with Chris Hedges and Amy Goodman.
Goodman’s Democracy now (see internet) is a good source of coverage on OWS
